At one with Man
I remember when I was at one with man
He'd plough the land and sow the seed,
I'd give him the Sun and Rain he'd need,
Followed by a gentle breeze,
But that was then and this is now
I remember when I was at one with man
He'd watch his buds of corn appear
I'd feel his pride and festive cheer
That his crop would be good this year
But that was then and this is now
I remember when I was at one with man
He'd harvest his crops and give thanks and praise
I'd give him long Summer days,
Followed by soft Autumn rains
But that was then and this is now
I remember when I was at one with man
He'd store his food and understand
I'd have to send Winter Winds to cleanse the land,
Mother Nature's final command.
But that was then and this is now.
I remember when I was at one with man
In Spring the cycle would start again
I'd send him scented flowers and gentle rains
And he'd know he was at one with a friend
But that was then and this is now.
I remember when I was at one with man.....
