Her house stands now so empty as outside gentle raindrops fall,
falling softly to bring life to Summers meadows.
Beautiful sunlight rays shine through giving life to natures soil.
But even on this summers day, an empty image fills my mind,
of her so old and feeble, struggling to hang out her washing,
one final image of her surrounded by brilliant sunshine

So weary, bent over and crippled, doing battle with every peg!
Refusing to accept the inevitable passing of time,
refusing to accept, that which was blind to me,
her forthcoming death!
for a women with such strength and courage,
naivity had advised me in council, could never die.
But now she has gone on the mountain as darker images
begin to flood my mind.
That even on hot sunny days filled with soft breezes and scented flowers,
people die.
